Erowid is a non-profit educational & harm-reduction resource with 60 thousand pages of online information about psychoactive drugs, plants, chemicals, and technologies including entheogens, psychedelics, new psychoactive substances, research chemicals, stimulants, depressants and pharmaceuticals. Erowid works with the testing laboratory to process submissions and publish results, and collects data from other testing organizations (e.g. drug checking groups in Europe), develops software, fundraises, and maintains the DrugsData.org website. Erowid is an educational website dedicating to providing unbiased, reliable information about psychoactive plants and chemicals [1] and the exploration of altered states of consciousness. Erowid is made possible by four primary staff members, two part-time staff, and dozens of valuable volunteers who help process incoming data, seek out new resources, and/or help to update the site. The index into Erowid's collection of more than 45,000 personal reports describing first-hand experiences with psychoactive plants and drugs. Erowid, also called Erowid Center, is a non-profit educational organization that provides information about psychoactive plants and chemicals. [3][4] Erowid documents legal and illegal substances, including their intended and adverse effects. DrugsData is the independent anonymous laboratory analysis and drug checking program of Erowid Center. Its purpose is to collect, review, manage, and publish testing results from our lab and republish results from other analysis projects. Erowid was a great resource for me to research, strategize, and plan out the path I would inevitably take. I always did my research before taking anything, and as an informed user I was able to not only use safer - but know what to expect. Thirty years ago, drug users flocked to a website called Erowid to describe experiences on everything from Advil to LSD. Today it's become a goldmine for researchers and governments.
